Nurse workforce sustainability: A workforce retention strategy
This project seeks to transform healthcare recruitment and enhance nurse retention, a workforce at high risk of resigning from employment and leaving the profession altogether. The project will examine recruitment and retention capabilities, resources, and gaps of health services, while evaluating turnover, economic cost, and efficacy of current nurse retention interventions. The project provides real-time solutions to health services, while developing targeted, nurse informed, interventions, that better support nurse retention and reduce professional turnover. The expected outcome is to establish a suite of evidence-based resources to better support nursing workforce sustainability across Australia.
