On-farm Cattle Methane Emissions Measurements

Topic ID:

Thesis Topic/Title:
On-farm Cattle Methane Emissions Measurements

Description

Accurate and efficient measurement of greenhouse gases is essential to reduce emissions from livestock. Knowledge and practices aimed at reducing methane emissions from livestock can serve the dual purpose of improving feed efficiency, productivity and farm income, while also helping lower Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions. This research will investigate different types of non-invasive sensing techniques for cattle methane emissions in real on-farm environment (under in vivo conditions).
